According to history, the first meal that humans ever consumed was meat. Because they can digest both
animal and plant food, humans have always been omnivores. What about guinea pigs, though? Do guinea pigs
consume meat? What if they accidentally had some? Meat cannot be digested by guinea pigs at all. They
are only physiologically suited to consume plant items since they are herbivorous creatures. Since guinea
pigs cannot vomit, the meat will probably make them sick as it passes through their digestive tract. Consult a
veterinarian if they appear unwell. They risk becoming sick or developing potentially fatal illnesses since their digestive system is not built to process any meat at all.
