Can Rabbits Eat Peppers?

Jalapenos and chili peppers are examples of spicy foods that should be absolutely avoided since

even in very little amounts, they can induce significant stomach irritation. If your rabbit

consumes jalapenos, chili peppers, or any other hot food, keep a close eye on them for a few days

following. Since they are high in fiber, have few calories, and are often well accepted by rabbits,

sweet peppers like red bell peppers are regarded as safe and healthful snacks for them. Jalapenos

and other hot peppers are typically more trouble than they're worth. If you want to give your

rabbit some sweet peppers as a treat, keep in mind that hay should make up the majority of its diet.
