Is Avocado a Fruit or a Vegetable?

A fruit is an avocado. Botanists describe it as a huge fruit containing a solitary seed, to be more precise.

It fits the definition of fruit, which is "the sweet and fleshy product of a tree or other plant that contains seed

and can be eaten as food," even if it isn't nearly as sweet as many other fruits. They are covered in a rough,

thick, dark-green or blackish skin that has a creamy, silky feel. One serving is equal to half or

third of a small or medium avocado (50 grams). It has 84 calories, is loaded with

nutrients and good fats, and may have a number of health advantages.
