What Do Black-Bellied Whistling Ducks Eat?

Once you hear their unique, high-pitched call, you'll realize why they are called whistling ducks. The majority of

the time, you'll hear these ducks before you see them. Due to their propensity to form sizable groups,

though, they are not very challenging to identify. The black-bellied whistling duck mostly consumes plant

material. The species has started consuming grains like corn and rice in recent years. Its range may have

expanded to the north as a result of this. They may feed at any time of day, moving often over

lawns or golf courses near small ponds or lakes, even though they mostly graze at night.
