A cat, or any other creature for that matter, should never venture outside. However, some felines just 

 require their independence. You are now left with the decision of whether or not your cat will return after

being allowed outside. Will they require training? Unfortunately, there is no simple solution to the first query. 

The majority of cats will return, but not all cats are same. However, the second query is a little

broader. Yes, before venturing out into the horrors of the outside world, your cat needs a little training. 

Go into a different room away from the cat and try after you are satisfied with their progress. When your cat is outside,

knowing this technique is essential. Simply go outside, call their name, and toss the treats. Your cat should sprint to you.
